we is have another day to prepare for sandy. it won't be as nice tomorrow as today, but you'll be able to clean your gutters out, check your down spouts and that sort of thing. so here's the storm. it does not look particularly impressive, but again, we can't really get hung up on that either, because ironically the storm will intensify and become in some ways a stronger storm after it becomes extra tropical. here's the track. sunday, 8:00, we're looking at a category 1 way out to sea, seem east of hatteras. that's not so bad. it's the left turn that's the problem and it is still forecast to make a turn. it's a little further north now, which is good in southern new jersey and extreme northern delaware. we get into monday, 8:00 hour. then it rolls right in through southeastern p.a. i'm not sure it's going to accelerate into new york state. it may hang in south central pennsylvania. we know the wind fields are so big we are still looking at a hit. maybe not a direct hit, but i tell you what, the storm is so big, it's just a quest

let's look at hurricane sandy. you can see the showers already beginning to pull in as i showed you up toward the mid-atlantic. cape hatteras feeling the brunt of this. that's at 75 miles per hour less sustained wind gusts right now. as it moves through the atlantic it's going to eventually make a beeline toward new jersey and new york city. this is going to be about a category 1 by the time it makes landfall. we were talking last year tropical storm irene you may recall wasn't really that devastating. this system is going to be about two to three times more powerful when it moves onshore. you can see estimated rainfall. anywhere from 7 to 13 inches of rain and that does not include the storm surge so we're talking about storm surge up to three to five feet. that's the whole ocean moving in. if you have been to new york city, you know the lay of the land. it's very low there. our thoughts and prayers go out to the folks in new england. as far as our home temperatures go, we'll look at comfortable conditions. 78 in
